Assunta  “Sue”( Papale) White

Peacefully passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the age of 93. Originally of East Liberty, daughter of Frank and Giovanna Papale, wife of the late Charles W. White; beloved mother of Sharon(Bernie) Sboray, Charles (Linda) White, Jr., Marie (Tim) Urick, Teresa (John) Robosson and the late Jerry White; loving grandmother of Bryan, Shannon, Lauren, Christopher, Danielle, Chad, Sarah, Hannah, Emily and Ally; loving great-grandmother of Christian, Olivia, Giuliana, William and Andrew. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 1-4 and 6-8 pm at CHARLES W. TRENZ FUNERAL HOME, INC., 11110 Frankstown Road in Penn Hills. A Funeral Mass at St. Charles Lwanga Parish, Corpus Christi Church at 10:00 am, Thursday, January 25, 2018.

Sue was spiritual, compassionate, funny and loved meeting and getting to know people – she had a truly positive and grateful nature.  Her life was filled with faith, family, and volunteering and advocating for others.  She was devoted to her church community at Sts. Peter & Paul in East Liberty, and later St. Charles Lwanga in Homewood.  We will all truly miss her wise and loving spirit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (michaeljfox.org).  Our family would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the many caregivers at Harmar Village/Amber Woods who assisted us in filling her final years withcare, laughter, love, and dignity.
