Margaret Yinger Obituary
Margaret J. Yinger, a teacher for 30 years with the Penn Hills School District passed away peacefully on May 22, 2018 in The Woodlands Texas.
During her career Margaret was awarded both the Teacher of the Year award from Penn Hebron School and Teacher of the Year for the Penn Hills School District.
After retiring, Margaret became involved in floral design working at a local floral shop, volunteered with” Meals on Wheels” and taught part time at St. Bernadette,s Catholic school in Monroeville.
Margaret is survived by her sister MaryBeth Garletts and H Richard Garletts, sister Roberta K. Yinger and Lynn Fox, nephew Richard C. Garletts, wife Michele and Hunter, and niece Jennifer Colon, husband Richard and Jackson.
A Blessing Service will be held at The Homewood Cemetery, 1599 South Dallas Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15217 at 11:00 am June 2, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donation go the the Penn Hills Library in Margaret’s name or in a library of your choice.
Margaret will be remembered for her love of teaching, kids, books, animals and gardening.
