In Loving Memory of Andrew Charles McLaughlin
April 16, 1982 – May 10, 2025
With broken hearts and deep gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of Andrew McLaughlin, age 43, on May 10, 2025. A devoted son, beloved brother, caring nephew, treasured friend and cousin, and a proud uncle. Andrew lived a life overflowing with love, laughter, and faith.
There isn’t enough paper or ink to capture all that Andrew was. His personality was big, and his smile was even bigger. His joyful spirit left a lasting mark wherever he went.
Andrew was a true Pittsburgh guy, proud of his city and fiercely loyal to its teams. He was also a passionate Liverpool FC supporter and a proud member of the Official Liverpool Supporters Club of Pittsburgh, where he cheered on his Reds with heart and humor.
He found joy in the simple things—sharing a good laugh, watching a game, caring for his dogs, or spotting a new bird outside his window.
Andrew loved to laugh and help others do the same. He was always sending funny memes, videos, or perfectly timed one-liners. He brought warmth and connection into every scenario.
Most of all, Andrew was a proud and beloved uncle to Brady, Laina, Brenna, and LJ. He loved watching them grow, celebrated every milestone, and never stopped rooting for them.
As a devoted Christian, he loved reading the Word of God and found strength, peace, and purpose in Scripture. More than anything, he would want each of you to know Jesus—the source of his salvation, love, and hope.
He is survived by his parents, Linda McLaughlin (late Stan Dezwick), Chuck and Judy McLaughlin; his siblings, Adam (Colleen) McLaughlin and Amy (Leo) Rebholz; his adored nieces and nephew, Brady, Laina, Brenna, and LJ; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide community of friends and coworkers. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.”
— 1 Peter 1:3-4
Though his time here was far too short, Andrew’s legacy is vast—a life full of heart, humor, and good times. He will be deeply missed.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 14 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Penn Hills.
