Barbara McCollum Obituary

Barbara Ann McCollum (Uravish)

Formerly of Penn Hills; Born March 17, 1934

Passed away April 2, 2022

Beloved wife of the late Robert Charles McCollum—Loving wife of 67 years.

Loving mother to Julia M. Anderson (Clifford H)

Beloved daughter of the late John and Barbara Ann Uravish

Late Brothers John Uravish, Francis Uravish

Late Sister Catherine Mazula

Barb is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

She attended Columbia Hospital School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at West Penn Hospital and Doctor’s Hospital.

Barb shared a love of traveling with her family, enjoyed history, museums, and art galleries.  Trips to the casino to enjoy poker were not unheard of.

Barb loved to garden, take walks, bowl, read police mysteries, listen to music and enjoy concerts.

Avid sports fan and loved her Pittsburgh Teams: Steelers, Pirates, Penguins and Pitt!

Volunteer at the Pittsburgh Zoo

Barb laughed easily and her laugh was contagious. She was witty and funny. She always had a twinkle in her eye and could be a bit mischievous.  She cared deeply about people and animals, caring and compassionate to all.  She was a happy woman with a happy life.

Barb was most proud of her daughter and family, and she will be dearly missed.
