Carol Castellano

Carol M. Castellano, 82, of Murrysville, formerly of Penn Hills, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Carol was a beloved wife of 54 years to the late Anthony “Mitch” Castellano. She was a loving mother to Maureen Ruefle (Michael), Melanie Lorenzi (Vincent), and the late John Castellano. In addition to her husband and son, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Geraldine Sampson and Cherene Sipe, and her brother, James Watt.  She is also survived by brothers, Robert Watt and William Watt. She was the dearly treasured grandmother, or “Gummy”, as they called her, of Brian Getty (Jill), Lauren Opferman (Chris), John Getty (Stacy), and Michael Getty. As well as the proud great-grandmother of Darren, Riley, and Beia. Carol loved the Lord and was a member of Christian Life Church in Trafford. Before retiring, Carol owned and operated Carol’s Pizza in Penn Hills for almost 30 years. A private service was held at Christian Life Church, followed by interment.
