David Thomas Ptak

On Friday, April 30, 2021, David Thomas Ptak, loving husband, father & grandfather passed away, at the age of 68, due to COVID complications. Dave was born on February 1, 1953 in Sewickley, PA. On August 4, 1979, Dave married Rebecca (Talarico). They raised three beautiful children in Penn Hills, PA. Dave was a member of Unity Community Church in Plum. Dave loved Jesus, baseball, gardening, laughter, good food & spending time with family and friends. He loved the simple life. Dave was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Becky, his three children Aaron (Leigh), Katie (Ross) and Jonathan (Heather), his four grandchildren Ian, Alaina, Easton & Lilah, his siblings Ken, Kathy & Tim, many nieces and nephews, and a wonderfully large extended family. There are countless people who have been influenced by Dave. He loved people and made friends wherever he went. He will be greatly missed because he was so deeply loved. His faith in Jesus Christ sustains his family (Zephaniah 3:17). Friends will be received Tuesday, May 4th at Trenz Funeral at 5pm until 8pm followed by a brief service of blessing.  Masks and physical distancing will be required.
