Ed grew up in Garfield and was a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh. At a young age, he began working for his grandfather’s business, Model Coat & Apron Supply Company and was a member of the Teamsters Local 249. Over the years, he eventually became involved in the sales part of the business and eventually retired from Rental Uniform Services. Upon retirement, he started a promotional sales company and enjoyed running that for several years.
He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in their various activities. He really adored his grandchildren and was very proud of their accomplishments. He was well-liked, made friends easily and enjoyed seeing his friends at Planet Fitness or having a coffee with his buddies at McDonalds. He and his friends enjoyed a good laugh and were master pranksters.
