Emily "Em" Golightly

Emily Catherine Golightly passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. A beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend, Emily will be deeply missed.  A rising senior at Oakland Catholic High School, she was a member of the National Honor Society, active cheerleader, proud member of the color guard, and a dedicated gymnast.

She is mourned by her parents, Jackie and Steve Golightly, her big sister Kayla, her maternal  grandparents Kitty Hahn (and the late Jack Hahn), Uncle Bill and Aunt Valli Hahn, as well as cousins Billy, Judy, Jacob, Cypress, and Shannon.  She is also mourned by her paternal grandparents Gladys Golightly (and the late John Golightly), Uncles Tom and Terry Golightly, and cousins Tom and Scott.  Emily was blessed with adoring godparents, Aunt Cheri and Uncle John Turcovsky, who cherished her as their own. She will also be missed by the Jiangi Chinese adoption group whose traditions she honored throughout her life.

Emily loved her many friends, as well as “Lambie,” and her pets Guppy, Buddy and Blue.

We are heartened to know that Emily is meeting her grandfathers Jack Hahn and John Golightly for the first time in Heaven.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 1 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at CHARLES W. TRENZ FUNERAL HOME, INC., 11110 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills, 15235. 

Funeral Mass at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish, St. Bartholomew Church, Monday at 10AM. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
