Ethel Bayus Keim, 93, of Penn Hills went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Earl M. “Mike” Keim Jr., parents John and Anna Bayus of Wilkinsburg, and brothers J. Daniel Bayus and Edward Bayus. She is survived by sons David (Ellen) Keim of Knoxville, Tenn., and Dr. Douglas (Megan) Keim of Delmont, and grandchildren Anna, Rebecca, Alexandra, and Owen. Ethel worked as a secretary, pianist, and organist throughout her life, most recently at Hebron Presbyterian Church, where she served for over 30 years, until her fall in February. Ethel was known for the needlepoints she sewed as gifts, for sharing devotional booklets with anyone they might help, and for remembering friends and family with cards, always with a hand-written note. She and Mike joined Hebron in 1963 and encouraged countless members through Bible studies in their home. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 12, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the CHARLES W. TRENZ FUNERAL HOME INC., 11110 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills, PA 15235. A celebration service will be held Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m. at Hebron Church, 10460 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills, Pa. 15235, with a reception following in the church’s fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Hebron Church Music Department or to St. James Fellowship of Monroeville, Pa.
