George T. Saniga

George T. Saniga, preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Virginia B., survived by his children, Karen, Michael (Liz), Carol Cole (Greg), G. Matthew, Laura Donaldson, and David and 7 grandchildren, Kathy, Patrick, Jenna, Mikaela, Kristina, Salica and Ali. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Johanna Saniga, and 10 brothers & sisters. 

A country boy born and raised, graduating from Slippery Rock College with a teaching degree in Physics and Chemistry.  He served in the US Army before going to work at US Steel as a Chemist where he and his team received a patent in Pollution Control.

An avid outdoorsman, he was a longtime member at the Crowfoot Rod and Gun Club and Murrysville Club, where he was a marksman as well as a certified hunters safety instructor.

A man of deep faith, he will be missed.

Visitation Monday March 3, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish, St. Susanna Church, Tuesday at 10 AM
