Gloria Lee Hill

Born in Donora Pennsylvania on January 29, 1936; graduated from the Donora High School in 1953. Gloria graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing in 1956 and had a 43 year career with Eye & Ear Hospital/ UPMC. In 2012, Gloria began working for Home Instead, in home health care, which she thoroughly enjoyed.She was an active member of Saint Susanna Church in Penn Hills. She served on parish council for four years and in many other capacities at the church. Gloria volunteered at adult daycare at the Penn Hills Senior Center and was VP on the advisory Council for many years. She was a voracious cardplayer belonging to a card club with friends she met at Mercy Hospital in 1960. She loved to travel spending many happy summers at Pioneer Park near Hidden Valley. She is the beloved wife of the late William G. Hill; loving mother of Roger Hill of Squirrel Hill (Sandra Brenner-Hill); also, preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Andrew Tokay and her brother Adrian “Skip” Tokay. Friends received Friday 5-8 PM at CHARLES W. TRENZ FUNERAL HOME INC., 11110 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills; A Blessing Service begins at 8 pm; In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League
