Peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019.  She was 97 years old.  Irene has joined her beloved husband, James, and grandson, Jason, in heaven.  Born on a farm in Minnesota, she was the youngest of seven children. Her brother, Carroll Tutt, 100 years old, continues to live an active life. Irene had an adventurous spirit.  She left the farm to first become a Navy WAVE and then a flight attendant for TWA, allowing her to travel the world. After meeting the love of her life, Jim, she settled in Pittsburgh. Irene remained very active in the lives of her children, her church and numerous volunteer activities.  She is survived by her children Richard (Carol) Telford, Patty (David) Tumen and Barbara (Todd) Reish and five grandchildren: Jennifer, Jim, Matt, John, Samantha; and two great-grandchildren: Stephanie and Colin.  A memorial service will be held at Hebron Presbyterian Church, Penn Hills, on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and Nationwide Children's Hospital of Columbus, Ohio.
