Janet C. Geppert Copeland

May 24, 1935 -June 18, 2024

On June 18, 2024, Janet (Grandma Copeland/ Grandma G)

passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was being cared for

and comforted by Gateway Hospice before her passing. Janet

was 89 years old.

Janet was born in Edgewood, PA on May 24, 1935 to George

and Wilda Lewis (Gourley). Besides raising her 4 boys, her

greatest joy was country music and extended family. If she

wasn't humming to her favorite tune, you could find her making

her famous baked goods for any event she could! Her family and

their friends knew her best as Grandma Copeland and she

welcomed any and all to have a seat at her table. You could also

find her at the boutique (Red, White & Blue Thrift Store) with

her lifelong best friends Bev Ryan and Nancy Kurlfink.

Janet will be missed by her sister Beverly Geppert, and so many others, but most of all by her sons,

Erich Geppert Ill (Diane), Greg Geppert, and James

Copeland(Renee), by her daughter-in-laws, Darlene Geppert

Meyerl, Tricia Geppert, by her grandchildren, Stephanie Pfister

(David), Nicole Geppert (Medhi), Ericha Bettwy (Jake), Brittany

Elkins (Joey), Rocky Geppert, Natalie Kolesar, Shane Copeland,

Sam Geppert and by her great-grandchildren, Ava Geppert,

Alireza Hedjazi, Armaan Hedjazi, Aryan Hedjazi, Alivia Elkins,

Aubrey Elkins, Aylah Hedjazi, Ayzen Hedjazi, Juniper Pfister.

She is preceded in death by George Lewis (father), Wilda

Lewis(mother), Kenneth Lewis (brother), Patricia Kravitch

(sister), Kenneth Lewis, Jr (nephew), John Copeland (son),

Gregory Geppert II (grandson), Amir Hedjazi (great grandson).
