Jean C. (Knowlan) Fitzgerald of Indianola, formerly of Monroeville and Penn Hills; surrounded by family, Jean was called home on February 5, 2024. Jean was married for 58 years to James E. Fitzgerald who died on October 30, 2010 and she will live on in the hearts of her children Monica (Tom) Joyce, Erin (Paul) Reilly, James, Jr., and Leslie (Tom) Santaguida and her daughter-in-law, Diane Fitzgerald. Jean was loving grandmother to Shannon (Evan) Vaughan, Devin Joyce, Liam and Alex (Tamber) Reilly, Elizabeth and Anna Lynn Fitzgerald and Jessica (LaDon) Hall,and loving great-grandmother to Charlie Vaughan, Ezekiel and Annabella Reilly, and Maria and Lena Hall. Jean was predeceased by her siblings, Charles Knowlan and Margaret Knowlan and will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Jean shared her husband’s love for playing golf, bowling, bridge and especially spending time with family and friends. Jean and Jim planned many golf trips to Myrtle Beach with their friends and countless memorable holidays andvacations with their children and grandchildren, leaving behind a treasure chest of wonderful memories. Visitation will take place at CHARLES W. TRENZ FUNERAL HOME INC., 11110 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills, on Thursday, February 8 from 2-5 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish, St. Bernadette Church, Friday February 9, 2024 at 1030 AM. Private interment will follow. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
