John Robert Sciullo

John R. Sciullo, 68, or Plum passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021. He leaves behind his son, Michael (Jessica) Sciullo, daughter, Stephanie (Alan) Marshall and his grandchildren, Ajaye Lewis, Morgan Waltz, Carter Sciullo, Brady Marshall and Gracie Marshall. John also is survived but his sisters Peggy (Bob) Fields, Dianne (Dan) Bodnar, and Ginny (Lou) Stempkowski, brother-in-law Chuck Bon, many nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends the DiTullio Family. John will be reunited in heaven with his parents, Elisio Frank and Antoinette (Manellla) Sciullo and his beloved sister, Marita Bon.
John was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA the only son of Elisio and Antoinette. He was raised alongside his four sisters. John attended Corpus Christi Elementary and later went on to graduate from Penn Hills High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. and was a loyal employee to Radio Shack for over 40 years.
John was devoted to Our Lord, and his church, Hebron Presbyterian in Penn Hills. He served as Trustee, Decan and Elder over his years at Hebron, as well as serving on many mission trips and committees.
If you knew John, you knew his love for his children and even more, his grandchildren. He had pure joy in attending their sporting events, dance competitions, and school functions any time he could. He also loved getting to know his son’s Army Scout brothers, Penguins hockey, cooking and his weekly breakfast “meetings” with dear friends.
John had a quick wit, endless jokes, and an enduring love of God and his family. He was loved by all the knew him and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Saturday October 16, 2021 in the Barclay Building of Hebron Church at 11 AM.
