On August 13, 2024, Joseph J. Esquino passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph R. and Elizabeth Ann Esquino and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anthony and Millie Jacob. Joe leaves behind his wife of 43 years Darlene (Jacob) Esquino and his daughter Jessica; sisters Annette DeChancie (the late Robert), Cathy Coey (Ken); sisters-in-law Linda Geller (the late Tom), Suzie Kealey (John); brother-in-law Michael Jacob (Nancy). He was loved by his many nieces and nephews: Nick Weingartner (Khrystine Damare) and great niece Mia; Erica DeChancie; Jessica DeChancie (the late Brandon); Katie and Michael Geller; Marissa Kealey (fiancé Billy Land), Kristen Kealey; Matthew Jacob.
Joe worked 20 years at Best Buy. He loved meeting and talking to people from all walks of life. Joe was blessed with the gift of gab and working in retail gave him the opportunity to talk with the many customers he met over the years.
Joe was a proud member of Steeler Nation. His family and friends knew better than to call or text during a game. We needed to wait until half time or between quarters and be quick so he would be ready to continue watching the game. Joe also loved the Pittsburgh Pirates, he was proud to have been at the game when Roberto Clemente hit his career milestone 3000 hit in Three Rivers Stadium.
He was our family historian, photographer and chef. Joe always said he was put on this earth to marry the love of his life Darlene and to be Jessica’s Dad.
To his family and many friends, please know how much he loved each of you. Nothing was more important or made him happier than being able to help you when you were in need.
To the world Joe was one person, to us he changed our world forever. To our dearest Joe, ‘til we meet again.
Friends received 1-5 PM Sunday at CHARLES W. TRENZ Funeral Home Inc., 11110 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills; A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 12 noon.
