Age 90, of Penn Hills; passed away on May 17, 2021; Beloved wife(61 years) of the late Ernest A. Pais; Loving mother of Patti Rocco (Sam), Cheryl Scampone (the late Jeffrey), Robbie Cassidy (Jim), Ernest Pais III (fiancé Barb Bernath) (the late Amy Pais), Emmett Pais (Christie), Mary Jenkins (Kevin), and Wendy Boyle (Matthew); Sister of Helen Horan; Beloved grandmother of Laura, Lindsay, Guy, Kristin, Matthew, Kaitlin, Erica, Ernest IV, Cassie, Alyssa, Ryan, Connor, Briana, Sarah, Chelsey, Rebekah, Jack, Josiah, and Ethan; Also survived by 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; Preceded in death by her parents Bridget and Henry Kearney and 8 brothers and sisters; Katie was a kind, thoughtful, generous, energetic, and faith-filled woman.  She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all.  The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Robert Beasley and the staff of UPMC EAST and Presbyterian Hospitals; in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s House of Hospitality, 1635 Bedford Ave., Pgh,PA 15219; Friends received Thursday at 10 AM at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish, St. Bartholomew Church, 111 Edhardt Dr., Penn Hills; Mass of Christian Burial at the church begins at 11 AM.
