Linda Jambrusic Brown

May 29, 1951 – June 23, 2025

Linda died June 23 in Forbes Hospital following a short illness.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Theresa Jambrusic.  She leaves behind her husband of forty-three years, Lee Brown, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.   

A graduate of Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing, Linda was not defined by her profession, which she loved.  She always had a house full of animals--dogs, cats and the occasional horse looking through the window!  A love of flowers and growing things kept her busy when she wasn’t out antiquing and filling the house with new old pieces. 

As a registered nurse (Diploma only—no initials after her name) she rose to the top of her profession twice.  First as the Manager of the East Suburban Hospital (later renamed Forbes Regional Hospital) Emergency Department and then as the Chief Flight Nurse for Allegheny Hospital’s Life Flight where she was employed until she retired.

Linda was not only an excellent clinician but a respected friend to all.  She was known for her ethics, wisdom, and sense of humor.  Many sought her opinion on both professional and personal issues.  She was held in high regard which was evidenced in her final days by the many friends and colleagues who reached out to her and Lee. 

Linda left a lasting impression on all who had the honor to call her a friend.  She will be deeply missed.  

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on July 7, 2025 at 1:00PM.
