Mafalda "Dolly" Ann DeFazio

Mafalda “Dolly” DeFazio, age 100, of Plum, passed away June 4, 2025, embraced by her family’s love and God’s grace.  She was born to the late Harry and Yolanda (DeLuca) Sante and was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. DeFazio and infant daughter, Dana Marie.  Loving Mother of sons, Louis DeFazio, Gary DeFazio, daughter Carol and son-in-law Ron Hopper.  She was the adored Grandmother of Jennifer Wojton (Val), Tommy DeFazio, Ronnie Hopper, and Gina Marie Hopper (Zack Marshak).  Dear sister of Richard Sante and his wife Geri, the late Helen Sposato (the late Lou), the late Lillian Sciullo (the late Mike) and sister-in-law Ann (DeFazio) Perhacs (the late Steve). She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and dear friend, Marcia Garland.

Over the course of the century, she met each chapter of life with courage, determination and a steadfast commitment to her loved ones.  She was the heart of our family whose memories bridged generations.  We are grateful for every moment we shared, every lesson she taught, and every hug and kiss she gave.  She now rests in eternal peace, reunited with those who went before her, and watches over us with the spirit that carried us through life.  Thank you Arden Courts Memory Care and Heartland Hospice for the loving care of our Mom, Dolly.
