Mazie Buccilli

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mazie, who departed this life on June 4, 2025 at the age of 90, with her loved ones by her side. Beloved daughter of the late Domenic and Mazie Buccilli. Preceded in death by brothers Anthony (Dolores), Eugene (first wife Julia) , Edward (Celeste).  Survived by brother Domenic (late Angeline), sister-in-law Dolores (Dotti), Goddaughter Mary Grace Diana, Godson John Buccilli (Lisa), and "her favorite niece" Denise Rembold (George), nephew Anthony Buccilli (Keith), "Grandchildren" Stephanie Cryor (Philip Gorski), Evelyn, Leonardo and Rowan. Cousins, Concetta (Bunny) Miller, Bruce, Charles and Natalie.  Special friends Diane & Mike Kowalik and Bobbi Martello, and many other family and friends.

Mazie enjoyed cooking, Disney, Peanuts Gang, bowling, and teaching all of her "favorites" to play cards, gamble and win at the casino!  She spent the majority of her professional life at Giant Eagle, where she made the atmosphere fun and joyous, making lifelong friends. Mazie was always the life of the party! She loved decorating for the holidays and dressing up in costumes to delight her "grandchildren" and she loved doing arts and crafts with them. Mazie was a rare treasure; someone who lived life on her own terms, loved her family fully, and when she entered a room the joy she brought filled the space. She was quick with a joke, ever a twinkle of mischief in her eyes, and even quicker to show comfort and support. Mazie loved to travel, making friends wherever she went from Pittsburgh to Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Nebraska and Michigan, she touched the lives of many, loved by all!

A memorial Mass at St Mary Magdalene Parish - St Bede Church will be held on Thursday, August 14th at 10:30 am, Celebration of Life to follow in the Activities Room.
