We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father, Michael.
Michael Glenn Sovak, 56, of Penn Hills, died after a long, hard battle with lung and liver disease on June17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 7, 1968 to Lois Sovak and the late John R. Sovak. Mike was preceded in death by his deeply loved wife and high school sweetheart, Kimberly and caring older brother Bobby. He is a proud father to his two girls Emily and Megan. And he was known as a fun, loving uncle to Corey, Darrah, Jarred, Chris, Kim, and Danielle. He is also survived by his beloved older sister D’Ann, brother- in- law Clif, mother- in-law Anna, and sister-in-law Renee.
Mike graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1986 to join the family business. He enjoyed working with his hands to fix cars and things around the house. Outside of working, Mike enjoyed playing golf and baseball.
Mike’s greatest joy in life was being a father to his girls, Emily and Megan. Whether it was watching movies, driving around, giving advice, or his signature jokes, Michael’s love and dedication were evident in every cherished moment with his family. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and happy, often with heartfelt advice or a funny joke. He brought joy, laughter, and generosity to all that knew him.
He will be remembered as a proud, loving father, son, uncle, and brother. He will be truly missed, but has found peaceful rest with his beautiful wife. Until we meet again Michael, your family will love you always and forever.
