Peter Stephen Gazzo

Peter Stephen Gazzo, 79, originally of Penn Hills, PA, passed away peacefully in his Murrysville home on January 28th, 2023. Caring husband to his wife of fifty-six years, Patricia (Sicker), father to Paul (Bev Galbreath) of Ellwood City and Tricia (Donald Underwood) of Murrysville, and PapPap to Antonio Gazzo (Oklahoma City), and Alex, Patrick, & Josh Underwood.  He is preceded in death by his parents Peter F. & Vilma J. (Leone) of Penn Hills.

Pete, known to many as Steve, was a retired bricklayer and member of BAC Local 9 PA.  An avid trap shooter, he had many close friends at both Crowfoot Sportsman’s Club and Trafford Sportsmen’s Club and spent many nights with his shooting buddies.

Pete was an eight-year member of Plum Creek Lodge NO.799 F&AM.

His most recent pursuit was passing along his construction knowledge to apprentices through the bricklayer’s union hall and coaching the Kiski Area High School Varsity Trap Shooting Team.

His other passions included gardening, automotive restoration, and most importantly hanging out with his grandsons with endless hours of checkers, UNO, swimming in his pool & teaching them all of life lessons.

Family and friends received Wednesday 6-8 PM & Thursday 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at CHARLES W. TRENZ FUNERAL HOME, 11110 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills, where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM. Masonic service will be held Thursday at 7:30 PM.
