Richard (The Candy Man) Cohen, There are two kinds of people in this world. The kind that make you cry and the kind that make you laugh. Richard made you
laugh. Richard, without a doubt, lived in the middle of love. Always wanting to bring a smile to your face or laughter to your heart. He said laughter was the best medicine. Whomever he engaged with, he would win over with his kindness. He was a dedicated family man and loved his family very much especially his wife Linda. Richard adored his grandchildren Tony, T.J., Tyler, and Alexander and he fought the fight to protect them as best he knew how. His passion was making all the kids, and family happy.. Especially on Halloween handing out double and triple treats. He was a devoted son and very good to his mother and father, he talked to his mother every single day. He loved working with his father and took over his business when his father passed
and loved his work especially kibbitzing with all his customers. He loved his talk radio, he loved watching cooking shows especially Diners, Drive In's, and Dives. But he never cooked in his life which always made Linda laugh. He loved Penn State which he graduated from with a degree in business. He loved Michael's hockey games, Marcus's soccer games, and Lauren's basketball games. And lets not forget Crosby his best bud.. His favorite restaurant in the whole wide world was the Original Hot Dog Shop. He was a kid to the bone and played hard with the little ones, as well as his adult friends. He always had a joke to continually maneuver through this chaotic sad world. It was as if his silliness was contagious. You always felt a little lighter after engaging with Rich. And as frail as he had become, he never let anyone know how truly ill he really was. He was relentless by always pushing forward and never giving up. Rest in Peace
