Richard "Rick" Getkin

Age 68, of Penn Hills, passed away on July 25, 2025; Beloved husband of Becky (Ebbitt) Getkin; Loving father of Jaclyn Morgan (Nathan), Richard Getkin, and Christopher Getkin; Pap Pap of Ainsley & Emerson Morgan; Brother of Robert Getkin (Pat), and the late Kenneth Getkin; Brother-in-law of Bonnie Getkin; Son of the late Robert and Alma Getkin; also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends; Rick was a lifelong resident of Penn Hills, he dedicated 27 years to educating the youth of his community as a respected teacher. In addition, he shared his passion for science and innovation as the rocketry instructor for the summer enrichment program at Mt. Lebanon School District for 25 years, inspiring countless students to reach for the stars. Friends received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at CHARLES W.
