Age 89, on February 9, 2021; Beloved husband of the late Patricia Dell’Aquila; Son of the late Nicola and Philomena Dell’Aquila; Father of Michael Dell’Aquila (Carol), Tina Sorce (Tom), Bobby Dell’Aquila (Beverlea), Janice Dell’Aquila; Very proud grandfather of Ashley (Ralph), Lia (Nick), RJ, Thomas (Alexandra), Michael (Marzena), Olivia, Alexandra, and Alex; also great grandfather of Julian; Brother of the late Lorraine Plaikner (the late Rudy), the late Ann LaPeccerella (the late Bob), Nick Dell’Aquila (Terri); Born January 26, 1932, He was a proud Marine, an M.P., and an infantryman during the Korean War; After the war, Bob worked as a union plasterer, eventually started his own plastering business working for many years in and around Pittsburgh; Bob grew up in the Larimer Avenue section of Pittsburgh; He was extremely proud of his Italian heritage; He loved to cook, and was always willing to give advice to other cooks within our family; He was a self taught historian, who amazed us all with his knowledge on a variety of topics; He will be missed by his children and their spouses and more importantly he will be missed by his grandchildren who loved to spend holidays and special occasions with him; Services and interment are private.
