Robert G. Fleischman 

Of Penn Hills entered into the arms of his Savior on April 8, 2021, at the age of 84. Robert was born on July 25, 1936 in Steubenville, Ohio to William Fleischman and Mildred Adolita Garbart. He was preceded in death by his brother James “Jim” Howard Fleischman and sister Margaret “Peg” Richardson. He married his wife Marion Sabish in 1955 and enjoyed 65 years with her. Together they raised five children Elise “Elly” Philipp (Jan), Robert, John (Jessica), Paul (Leighann), and Liesel Kautz (Darren). He was grandfather to 11, great-grandfather to two, and uncle to eight.

Robert graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1961 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. For many years, he was self-employed as a consulting engineer in the fields of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. He never retired. Prior to R.G. Fleischman Company, he also worked for Olsen-Ley Company, Westinghouse, and Standard Air & Lite. 

His service as a Certified Lay Preacher in the Redstone Presbytery since 1999 gave him particular joy. He was a member of Union Church in Murrysville and a member of the Hebron Church choir in Penn Hills. He wrote his own materials for adult Sunday school classes since 1970. May his memory be eternal.

Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at CHARLES W. TRENZ FUNERAL HOME, INC., 11110 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills. The funeral service will be Monday at 11 AM at Hebron Church, 10460 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.
