Ronald M. Young

Ronald “Ron” Meredith Young, 86 years old, passed away on July 10, 2022 at home.  He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janice, two children Barbie and David, two grandchildren Rachel and Matt and two great grandchildren Stella and Renly.

A former Army serviceman, Ron put himself through college and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh.  For almost 40 years, he worked for the Municipality of Penn Hills as the Director of Water Pollution Control.  Ron was known for his friendliness, kindness, and warm smile.  His love for the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting has been passed down through generations.  Ron also volunteered as a boy scout leader when David was in scouts.

A memorial service will be held at Hebron Church in Penn Hills on August 27 at 11:00am.
