Stephen R. Poklemba

May 15, 1954 - June 17, 2023

Stephen Poklemba passed from this life on June 17, 2023. Stephen was born in Wilkinsburg, PA and grew up in Unity, PA. He graduated from Plum High School and briefly attended Point Park College.  Steve then enlisted in the US Army where he worked as a Morse Code Interceptor during the Vietnam War until discharged in 1975. He then worked in various fields throughout his life from various trades in construction and oil field work in Texas to greenskeeper at various golf clubs in the Pittsburgh area.

Stephen was immersed into Christ in 1985. His faith was very important to him.  He attended various Church of Christ congregations such as Holiday Park, 5th & Beechwood, and Monroeville as well as others in Texas.

He enjoyed greenkeeping, golf and music which included playing his acoustic guitar. Some of his favorite musicians were John Denver, Bob Dylanand The Moody Blues.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen R. Poklemba and Anna K. Peternel, his sister Maryanne Glass and his brother Francis Poklemba. 

Stephen is survived by his wife Judy (Pietropola) Poklemba, his daughter Rebekah Poklemba, his stepson David (Amanda) Traficante, their children, Cayla, Dominic and Isaac, his sisters Rose Robinson, Christine (Clem)Lovasik, Kathy (Mark) Proviano, and Stephanie (Jeff) Russo, his brother John (Colleen) Poklemba and many nieces and nephews.
